A few things you should know related to Jennifer Lawrence:
- Filming is clearly underway for the second installment of The Hunger Games series, Catching Fire.
- I still have not The Silver Linings Playbook and am not happy about it.
- She is hosting SNL in January!!! If 2012 wasn’t her year, 2013 is certainly lining up to be.

After an extremely successful release of ‘The Hunger Games’, director Gary Ross has decided to not be a part of the highly anticipated sequel, ‘Catching Fire.’ Ross said in a statement on Tuesday that he would not be able to devote the time necessary to both write and direct the second film. Let’s hope the ambitious production schedule of ‘Catching Fire’ does not have a negative affect on the film. I thought Ross did an excellent job with ‘The Hunger Games’ and would hate to see ‘Catching Fire’ ruined because it was rushed.

Yeah, I think I like this Jennifer Lawrence. I’m just bummed I didn’t discover her sooner. I was too busy cheering on Natalie Portman during last year’s Oscars to notice her. Now I need to go watch Winter’s Bone and buy this copy of Rolling Stone to make up for lost time.

I am not going to attempt to write a review of The Hunger Games. I’m not even going to give you reasons why you should go see it, and trust me there are plenty. All I am going to say is that you should definitely go see The Hunger Games. You will not be disappointed. It’s amazing what you can accomplish with an incredible story and an equally incredible cast. Oops. Was that a review?
