Hello! My name is Jonathan. I come to you from the historical city of Charleston, SC. I recently graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Computer Engineering. I have a thing for technology, photography, girls named Emma and Zooey, and music.

Here’s a clip of the first single off Born and Raised, called “Shadow Days.” I’m excited to share the first bit of sound from the album… Been looking forward to a post like this since October 14, 2010, the first day I started writing this group of songs. Enjoy.

I openly admit that I like John Mayer. I have been a fan since I was a junior in high school. The first concert I ever went to was one of his in Charleston, SC. So, it bummed me out when he said really stupid stuff, and (allegedly) hurt my girl, Taylor Swift. This song sounds like an answer to all of those things.

Whitney Houston’s vocals from “How Will I Know” laid over Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own.” The woman had pipes.

Very impressive mashup.

I have been to nine O.A.R. concerts and out of all of the first eight I’ve yet to like the opening act. Ninth time’s a charm? Apparently it is in this case. The latest show I went to was last month in Myrtle Beach. The opening band was called ‘Company of Thieves.’ Like all of the bands I’ve seen perform with O.A.R., I had never heard of them. This one was different, though. For one thing, the front man was a woman (a very cute one, in fact). I had trouble hearing the lyrics at the concert due to some shoddy audio engineering, but I could tell they were alright. Turns out I was right. On the way home from the show, I pulled them up on Rdio and listened to both of their albums. ‘Oscar Wilde’ is from their first album, Ordinary Riches, and is probably my favorite. My favorite from the second album, Running from a Gamble, is ‘Talulah.’ It’s very upbeat and fun (despite the fact that it’s about death).

Check them out. They are fairly unknown and deserve some attention.
